Your brother sister cryptid energy is here in this video.
god, they _are_ very sibling energy aren't they?
I don't understand how Stephen can be definitive only child (speaking as one myself) yet simultaneously has now always been Hayley's sibling. Finally he has someone to play Hungry Hungry Hippos with!
@@BlameThande Technically I'm an only child as I am the only child between both my parents per their marriage, but they both brought a son from their previous marriages. Sometimes siblings aren't blood.
"I'm cognizant so I'll think about it" is so powerful and is honestly how I manage my mental health. I can't do *everything* to keep myself 100%, but it allows me to be more forgiving and gentle with myself when I'm not
Hayley's right, this seems like a normal modification for a bike. One time a thrift store refused to sell me a tv because the power cord was frayed. I was like, but it's on your shelf with a price tag and I know it's frayed I'm gonna fix it, and I'm experienced with electrical wiring, eventually I was able to talk them into it
I'm so glad you guys are getting into bikes and Hayley was able to find a bike to ride! Cycling has been a huge part of my life the past year and has really helped me from a physical/mental health perspective so I hope you guys enjoy!
A bike shop saying “it’s an insurance liability” could be them trying to avoid getting sued. If they modified it and someone got hurt riding it they could sue the bike shop. That’s the only reason I can think of
Grit Jones is that you? Not quite a hard hat but….
Jrit Gones, his evil doppelgänger
Oh man Bonchon? Virginia Tech? If I wasn’t for the fact I don’t really bike, I’d say this vlog was made for me😂
"Wearing a bike helmet in a parked car" is a slightly hilarious look to me.
I'm also extremely confused as to why so many people said "no that's impossible, can't do that" when it very obviously isn't. What were they so afraid of???
As it's America, I would assume litigation. If there's the narrowest possibility of someone suing you if it goes wrong and hurts someone, safest just to refuse to do it.
@@BlameThande It's also probably not that profitable for them to do so. If they have never have never worked on that type of bike before it's not worth trying to figure out how it works for something that they aren't going to be able to charge a lot to fix.
Story time: in my first week at the University of Cambridge as a student, I had possibly the most counterproductive cycling safety talk ever. An older student said you should always wear a helmet, because if a friend of his who'd been in a crash hadn't been wearing one, he'd be dead. "As it is, he's just been in a coma two years". (This was not a black humour joke, he was serious). As a result I cycled for 8 years in Cambridge without ever being able to bring myself to wear a helmet, even though I'm usually a very safety conscious person, just because it always brought back nauseating memories of that story.
hayley's bike algorithm comment
I thought that the helmets were a wall of large crocs
You guys doing bike runs is making me want to ride a bike now
biking wise, I always recommend butt cushion boxers? is that what you call them and biking in hot weather, Really recommend, cool sleeves. In korea we call them 팔토시, you went them and put them on your arms. That really helps with the heat~
Man, I wish I could bike more often. But there is literally NO WHERE for me to do it where I’m at, not even sidewalks.
hi StephenVlog
I feel like id fall off of that thing so easily lol
Oh wow, I thought Bonchon was a (somewhat) local place. I love Korean fried chicken!
I love Hayley's shirt. I think she got that at a thrift store? Either way, great shirt.
I may be wrong, but I believe that is part of her Japanese clothes haul she brought back
@@enesevanderwalt5900 Yep, got it from a pile of clothes in a parking lot at a flea market in Japan!
Big head Stephen
If people can straight pipe their crap box cars with a Sawzall , then you can cut one freaking pipe for an *ALREADY REMOVABLE PIECE OF A BIKE*. What in the Twilight Zone bull is that insurance liability crud.
